**About the role**:
Main responsibilities are in these 3 key areas, in order of complexity:
Level I - Accounting:

- Supervise monthly close worth €45m/annum, by monitoring work of GL, CAO and Payroll; perform directly journal entries sparingly
- Identify transactions that can be automated or eliminated, reduce or eliminate journal entries, through more effective use of systems and processes. Aim to eliminate unnecessary journal entries
- Take ownership of results and ensure that actuals, budget and forecasts are accurate and complete

Level II - Reporting & Analysis
- Provide the manager and the Business Owners with relevant reporting and analysis to explain evolutions vs BUD and vs Prior Year, ringfencing operational and accounting reasons; also provide trends and forecasts and contribute to the annual budget. Early identification of issues
- Compare costs with operational activities. Key: understanding Operations. Make full use and leverage existing reporting to improve understanding of the operational performance. In depth analysis of evolution of unit costs
- Periodic review and evaluate the performance of each major process that is involved in the completion of transactions, with the dual objectives of maintaining tight financial controls while running them in a cost-effective manner

Level III - Business partnership
- Keep Business Owner aware on operational performance being costs, control issues, systems and aware of the impact of new processes and corporate initiatives
- Help Business Owners to identify and co-operate to instigate corrective actions as appropriate, for inclusion onto the Annual Transformation Plan. Track and validate Transformation plan actual results
- Become the trusted advisor of the Business Owner on all financial matters. This involves proactively advise management of risks, identify and propose options, analyse and present data at executive summary level

**About you**:

- Be a team player, be flexible and ready to change tasks, proactive at all calls, supporting direct and extended teams, both Finance and Operations. Be able to prioritize work and respect tight deadlines
- Make the most of tools and systems, learn quickly how to use them and progress with ability to produce good analysis
- Self-learn. Where training needed, proactively seek learning opportunities, either formal trainings or informal with manager and colleagues, use personal learnings. Prepare a plan, keep manager up to date

**Additional information**:

- Education: Degree in finance and accounting, or other finance related qualifications necessary
- At least 10 years of work experience in financial roles, ideally in Telco industry. Accounting experience, journal entries performed comfortably
- At least 5 years of financial controlling, with proven experience of analysis of costs, operational data and processes, business analysis and business partnership
- Proven ability to perform with a sufficient level of independence, leveraging manager, colleagues, business partners when effectively needed
- Proven experience of effective communication with all stakeholders including Senior management
- Proven experience in identifying knowledge gaps, and address them independently via self-learning activities
