**Job Title**: Chartered Market Technician (CMT)

**Location**: Kolkata, West Bengal
**Department**: Research/Trading/Investment Advisory
**Reporting To**: Director

**Responsibilities**:

- **Technical Analysis**: Conduct in-depth technical analysis of stocks, indices, commodities, futures, options and other financial instruments through use of tools like charts, patterns, oscillators, news and indicators to identify market trends and determine entry/exit points. Should be able to develop and back-test trading strategies.
- **Market Research**:Monitor global and domestic market conditions by preparing daily, weekly and monthly market outlook reports. Should be able to analyze macroeconomic and geopolitical events for potential market impact.
- **Trading and Investment Strategies**: Provide recommendations on trade setups and investment opportunities. Support portfolio managers and traders in making informed decisions.
- **Tool Utilization**: Proficient in reading charts using charting software like Bloomberg, MetaTrader, Amibroker, TradingView or any other similar platforms. Create and maintain technical dashboards for real-time analysis for internal & external stakeholders.
- **Compliance**: Ensure adherence to regulatory guidelines from SEBI or other financial regulatory authorities. Maintain accurate records of all analysis and recommendations.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**:

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics or related fields.
- Professional certifications like CFA, CMT, FRM (Level 1, 2 or 3 completed) or equivalent.

**Skills**:

- Strong understanding of technical analysis principles and methodologies.
- Familiarity with financial instruments, including equities, derivatives, and forex.
- Proficiency in advanced charting techniques and data interpretation.
- Analytical mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

**Experience**:

- 8-10 years of experience in technical analysis, trading or research in the financial sector.
- Experience in proprietary trading desks, brokerage firms or investment advisory firms is preferred.

**Competencies**:

- Strong communication skills to present findings to stakeholders.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Team player with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- Self-motivated and proactive in staying updated on market trends and technical analysis innovations.

**Career Path**:
The role of a CMT can lead to positions such as Senior Market Analyst, Head of Technical Research, Portfolio Manager or Chief Investment Officer (CIO) with further experience and credentials.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹50,000.00 per month
