Silai Teacher

The Silai Teacher will provide sewing training to women and girls in the community, empowering them with vocational skills to improve their socio-economic status. The teacher will design and deliver sewing classes, assess student progress, and provide individualized support to ensure students achieve their full potential.

**Key Responsibilities**:
1. Design and Deliver Sewing Classes: Develop and teach sewing curricula to students, ensuring they acquire practical skills in garment construction, alteration, and repair.

2. Assess Student Progress: Regularly assess student progress, identify areas for improvement, and provide constructive feedback.

3. Provide Individualized Support: Offer one-on-one support to students who require extra attention, ensuring they stay on track with their learning objectives.

4. Create a Supportive Learning Environment: Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to ask questions, share ideas, and learn from each other.

5. Manage Classroom Resources: Maintain sewing machines, tools, and materials, ensuring they are in good working condition and available for student use.

6. Collaborate with Program Staff: Work closely with program staff to ensure seamless delivery of the sewing program and identify opportunities for improvement.

7. Monitor Attendance and Progress: Track student attendance, progress, and completion rates, providing regular updates to the Programme Manager.

8. Promote Programme Visibility: Contribute to promoting the sewing programme within the community, encouraging new students to enroll and existing students to continue their training.

**Requirements**:
1. Sewing Experience: Proven experience in sewing and garment construction, with the ability to teach others.

2. Teaching Experience: Experience in teaching or training, preferably in a vocational or community setting.

4. Communication Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage with students, colleagues, and community members.

5. Flexibility: Willingness to adapt to changing program needs and priorities.

**Desired Qualifications**:
Teaching Certification: Certification in teaching or training, such as a diploma in education or training.

Pay: ₹12,000.00 - ₹15,000.00 per month
