**Job Summary**:
An English teacher is responsible for teaching students the fundamentals of the English language, including grammar, composition, literature, and communication skills. The teacher creates lesson plans, evaluates student progress, and fosters a positive learning environment.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Curriculum Development**: Design and implement lesson plans that align with curriculum standards and cater to various learning styles.
- **Classroom Management**: Maintain a disciplined, productive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- **Assessment**: Evaluate student performance through assignments, tests, and examinations. Provide feedback and grades in a timely manner.
- **Student Support**: Offer additional support to students who struggle with the material and challenge advanced students with more complex tasks.
- **Parent Communication**: Regularly communicate with parents or guardians regarding student progress and any concerns.
- **Professional Development**: Stay updated with the latest educational trends and teaching methods through continuous professional development.
- **Collaboration**: Work with colleagues to develop interdisciplinary lessons and participate in school meetings and events.
- **Extracurricular Activities**: Supervise or participate in extracurricular activities such as clubs, sports, or student publications.

**Qualifications**:

- **Education**: Bachelor’s degree in English, Education, or a related field (a master’s degree may be preferred for higher levels).
- **Experience**: Prior teaching experience may be required or preferred.
