Anesthesia Technician

We are looking for a highly skilled **Anesthesia Technician** to join our dynamic healthcare team at Jammu Hospital Jalandhar. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the anesthesia department by preparing, maintaining, and troubleshooting anesthesia equipment, as well as assisting anesthesia providers during various medical procedures. Your attention to detail, technical expertise, and ability to work collaboratively will be vital in ensuring the safe and efficient administration of anesthesia to patients.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Assist anesthesiologists and nurse anesthetists in the administration of anesthesia during surgical and medical procedures.
- Prepare, test, and maintain anesthesia equipment, including ventilators, monitors, and infusion pumps.
- Ensure the readiness and safety of anesthesia machines and related equipment before procedures.
- Sterilize and set up required tools, supplies, and medications.
- Assist in monitoring patient vital signs and anesthesia levels during procedures.
- Provide anesthesia support in emergency situations, ensuring rapid response and safe care.
- Record equipment maintenance and inspection logs to ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Manage anesthesia-related inventory, ensuring that all necessary supplies are stocked and readily available.
- Assist in educating patients about anesthesia procedures and address any questions or concerns.
- Adhere to all safety standards and infection control protocols to ensure patient safety.
- Maintain accurate patient records and document all equipment usage and relevant observations.

**Qualifications**:

- High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's degree in Anesthesia Technology or related field preferred.
- Certification as an Anesthesia Technician (e.g., by the American Society of Anesthesia Technologists and Technicians, or equivalent) preferred.
- Previous experience in an anesthesia or surgical setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia equipment, techniques, and safety protocols.
- Ability to troubleshoot technical issues with anesthesia machines and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
- Detail-oriented with a strong focus on patient safety and care.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.

Pay: ₹12,569.74 - ₹18,000.00 per month
