The Global Pulse Confederation (GPC) is the trade association for the global pulse industry; we have two goals: to increase the production and consumption of pulses across the world and to facilitate free and open trade of pulses.

We are looking for a driven, independent and reliable journalist to join our team of freelancers. Your job will be to find and follow leads, chat with members of the global pulses industry and research stories to provide articles and interviews for our online publication (Pulse Pod) and our monthly magazine.

You can work from wherever you want and choose your own hours, so long as you remain in regular contact with the editor to provide updates on your progress.

Your Tasks
- Plan and write your own stories, including speaking to sources.
- Proofread and edit your own content prior to publication.
- Coordinate with the Editor to plan your stories.

Your Job Skills & Qualifications:

- Flawless English writing and editing skills
- Bachelor’s degree and at least one year's experience as a writer or copywriter, or equivalent education and experience
- Familiarity with AP style
- Proven ability to work independently and in a multi-cultural environment
- Excellent project management and organizational skills
- Strong attention to detail

Preferred:

- Second language (Chinese or any South Asian language high priority)
- Experience in economics/food trading/plant-based proteins and/or commodities niches

**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 5 per week

**Salary**: ₹1,000.00 - ₹1,500.00 per day
