Furniture designer will be responsible for the look and feel of the furniture we conceptualize and make for our clients. They’re tasked with creating new pieces that are both aesthetically pleasing and functional, while also ensuring that these designs can be mass-produced at a reasonable cost. Furniture designer must have an eye for detail and an understanding of human anatomy and physiology. They must also be able to work well in a team environment—they rely on engineers, woodworkers, fabricators, etc., to help bring their ideas to life.

Furniture Designer Furniture designer will have a wide range of responsibilities, which include:

- Creating sketches and drawings of new designs using software such as AutoCAD or Photoshop
- Meeting with clients to discuss their needs and preferences and recommending materials, colours, and styles that will meet their goals
- Creating computerized models of designs using specialized computer software such as SolidWorks and AutoCAD
- Developing prototypes of designs using computer-assisted design (CAD) software and other design tools such as digital drawing boards or drafting tables
- Creating detailed sketches or drawings of furniture pieces or other products that can be used by manufacturers for mass production.
- Meeting with suppliers to select materials that meet the designer’s requirements for quality and cost.
- Developing a thorough understanding of current trends in style so new designs will be desirable to consumers.
- Reviewing existing furniture designs to identify opportunities for improvement or change.
- Creating models of new designs for testing in physical simulations such as wind tunnels or ergonomic studies such as sitting positions in chairs

**Furniture Designer: Requirements**:

- SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Photoshop.
- Product designers are highly preferred.
- Courses with a mix of practical skills and creative design are preferred.

**Salary**: ₹216,000.00 - ₹420,000.00 per year
