Product Research Associate - IN

The Product Research Associate role is responsible for providing research to drive and support strategic product direction across product wrappers and distribution channels for the Variable Annuities team. This position provides project based work such as industry and asset class research (AUM sizing and flow momentum), product scoring (investment strength, product attractiveness, market opportunity) and competitive analytics (positioning, opportunity assessments). This role also expedites the ideation process through compelling market research and analysis, team collaborations, and streamlined research processes. Under limited supervision, this job prioritizes product development concepts and creates cutting-edge deliverables based on client, stakeholder, and business inputs.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Design and create product research reports for both standard and ad-hoc initiatives
- Utilize industry databases to support team projects, synthesize data, and perform analysis
- Analyze public/non-public data to drive insights and inform recommendations
- Help identify forces impacting Nuveen and its competitors by monitoring and assessing industry trends
- Work collaboratively and build trust with team members
- Evaluates the feasibility of new market opportunities and assesses investment product performance potential.
- Disseminates communications on product performance, market updates and insights.
- Shares market research with relationship managers and advisors and develops investment strategies for clients.
- Maintains a repository of market information and organizes research into themes for input to enhancing investment products.
- Creates client presentations and summarizes market intelligence reports on investment products for client consumption.
- Monitors trends in product development and brand positioning and makes recommendations for investment strategy.
- Reviews investment reports and data on investment product research and predicts market performance.

Educational Requirements
- University (Degree) Preferred
