Job Role: Overseas Education Counsellor

**Responsibilities**:
1. Student Counselling and Guidance:

- Provide comprehensive guidance to students regarding study abroad options, including choosing suitable countries, universities, and programs.
- Assess student profiles, academic backgrounds, and career aspirations to recommend appropriate educational pathways.

2. Client Relationship Management:

- Build and maintain strong relationships with prospective students and their families.
- Address client inquiries, concerns, and provide accurate information about educational opportunities, visa requirements, and living abroad.

3. Educational Institution Liaison:

- Develop and maintain relationships with universities and educational institutions abroad.
- Stay updated on admission requirements, scholarship opportunities, and program offerings.

4. Visa and Immigration Support:

- Provide information on immigration regulations, travel arrangements, and pre-departure preparations.
- Collaborate with immigration authorities and visa consultants to ensure timely and accurate visa processing.

5. Market Research and Student Recruitment:

- Conduct market research to identify trends in international education, including popular study destinations and emerging programs.
- Develop marketing strategies to attract and enroll students, including participation in education fairs, seminars, and outreach events.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales teams to promote consultancy services and achieve student recruitment targets.

Skills Required:

- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact effectively with students, parents, educational institutions, and colleagues.
- Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build rapport, empathize with students’ needs, and maintain professional relationships.
- Cultural Awareness: Understanding of cultural differences and sensitivity when interacting with international students and families.
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational abilities to manage multiple student cases, deadlines, and administrative tasks efficiently.
- Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to analyze student profiles, anticipate challenges, and provide practical solutions.

Work Experience:

- Experience in Education Counseling: Previous experience in student counseling, preferably in an international or overseas education setting, is beneficial.
- Customer Service Experience: Experience in customer service roles, where interpersonal skills and client management were emphasized, can also be valuable.

Education Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s Degree: Typically in Education, Counseling, International Relations, or a related field.
- Master’s Degree (preferred): A master’s degree in Education, Counseling, or a relevant discipline can enhance credibility and knowledge base.
- Certifications: Certification in counseling or education consultancy may be advantageous, depending on the consultancy’s requirements.
