Paint Technologist

Involvement with long term project and liaison with production, quality and commercial departments.
- Provide technical advice and support to new and existing customers, ensuring quality of product is maintained. This may include travel to customer sites in the UK.
- Responsible for scaling up of formulations for initial trials and ultimately commercial batches.
- To contribute to the development of the product range so that commercial opportunities can be best exploited.
- Provide QC documentation and procedures for raw materials and finished products.
- Maintain the laboratory and supplies to comply with legislation and HSE.
- To manage the Safety Data Sheet system where necessary

eep up to date with current legislation and support the production of relevant regulatory documentation.
- All levels of experience in the development and formulation of paints and coatings ( Alkyd, Epoxy, Polyurethane systems) will be considered.
- To be competent in the safe operation of equipment, including; general lab equipment & ovens, calibration of laboratory equipment, operation of accelerated weathering cabinets, operation of pilot line (with the appropriate training).
- Can produce panels for accelerated tests and is aware of the chemistry of degradation and corrosion.
- Degree not essential but a minimum of HNC Chemistry or equivalent
- Able to work independently and manage own projects, keeping time and budget restraints.
- Supervisory experience would be of benefit.
- Understand and interpret coating specifications.
- Must be fluent in written and spoken English.

**Salary**: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
