Role & responsibilities

DOCUMENTATION

  • Responsible for creation, revision of BC standard and Project specific Paint specification(s),
  • Responsible for creating paint protocol for verification
  • Conducting trials & tests (i.e. layer thicknesses, pull-off test, grid test etc.)
  • Contact person for the Paint supplier (i.e. Alkzonobel,Jotun etc.)
  • Responsible for Painting standards (DIN/EN/ISO, ASTM, SSPC, etc.)

Support to project teams (Sales, Contracting, Design, Quality Assurance )

  • Reading and, if necessary, commenting on painting customer specifications (including determining additional costs)
  • Creation of customer-specific Paint specifications
  • Participation in customer meetings (Paint scheme only)
  • Creation of test plans with regard to Paint application
  • Establishment & Management of the BC Competence Center "Painting"
  • Review / evaluation of supplier Paint specifications and paint shops
  • Update the Way Suite Tracker
  • Responsible for the Review the Painting Report Template as per Paint Specification

Painting, Cost :Sporadic quality control

  • Documentation of the Paint application according to BC protocols
  • Coordination and execution of customer inspections at the subcontractor (for H/W points according to the test plan)
  • Contact person for construction site problems (customer complaints in case of paint damage, etc.)
  • Contact person and coordinator for Paint repairs (with customers, suppliers)

Preferred candidate profile

Diploma/Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical)/Paint Technologist.

  • Having specialist knowledge in the field of paints and varnishes from previous work, and familiar with the Painting standards
  • This is an office job that includes the study of specifications, travel required occasionally
  • English skills in spoken and written form are an important prerequisite

  • Result from the main tasks
  • On time Submission of the Painting Procedure.
  • Review the Specs Wizards within 10 Days
