Indo Archaeology Research is a leading archaeology research institute dedicated to the exploration, documentation, and preservation of cultural heritage. We conduct multidisciplinary research in archaeology, cultural heritage management, and policy development to support the preservation of significant sites and artifacts. Our legal team works to ensure compliance with national and international laws governing the protection and ethical stewardship of cultural heritage.

**Internship Overview**:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented law intern to join our team. This internship offers an opportunity to work on legal aspects of archaeology, heritage management, and policy development. The intern will assist in research, legal analysis, collaborations, official visits, and drafting documents related to laws and regulations impacting archaeology, museum collections, and cultural heritage preservation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct legal research on national and international laws, treaties, and regulations related to cultural heritage, artifact repatriation, and site preservation.
- Assist in drafting and reviewing legal documents, including contracts, MOUs, and agreements with partner organizations.
- Analyze legal cases involving heritage disputes, ownership, and repatriation claims, providing summaries and recommendations.
- Support compliance efforts by helping to identify relevant legal requirements for archaeological projects, excavations, and artifact conservation.
- Collaborate with researchers, and official visits to assess the legal implications of fieldwork and ensure adherence to applicable permits and ethical guidelines.
- Track legislative changes and emerging trends in heritage law that could impact the institute’s activities.
- Prepare presentations and reports for internal and external stakeholders on legal frameworks affecting cultural heritage.

**Requirements**:

- Current enrollment in a law school or recent graduate in law.
- Strong research skills with the ability to analyze complex legal concepts.
- Interest in archaeology, heritage conservation, and cultural policy.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Prior experience in heritage law, intellectual property law, or international law (preferred but not required).

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: ₹500.00 - ₹1,200.00 per day
