- Conducting thorough market research to identify new business opportunities, potential customers, and emerging trends within the industry.
- Analyzing competitor products, pricing, and marketing strategies.
- **Product Knowledge**:
- Understanding the manufacturing processes and technical aspects of the products offered by the company.
- **Customer Acquisition and Relationship Management**:
- Prospecting new clients and managing a portfolio of existing customers.
- Building and maintaining strong relationships with key decision-makers, such as procurement officers, operations managers, and C-suite executives.
- Addressing client inquiries, offering solutions to their problems, and negotiating terms.
- **Sales Presentations and Demonstrations**:
- Preparing and delivering product presentations to potential clients.
- Organizing product demos or site visits to showcase product effectiveness.
- **Sales Target Achievement**:
- Setting and meeting sales targets or quotas assigned by the company.
- Generating and following up on leads to close deals and achieve sales goals.
- **Collaboration with Internal Teams**:
- Working closely with the marketing, production, and logistics teams to ensure smooth execution of orders and customer satisfaction.
- Providing feedback on customer needs, preferences, and competitor activities.
- **Pricing and Contract Negotiation**:
- Preparing quotes and price proposals for customers.
- Negotiating terms of sale, including pricing, delivery schedules, and post-sale service agreements.
- **Market Expansion and New Product Launch**:
- Identifying opportunities for expanding product lines or entering new geographical markets.
- Supporting new product launches by promoting them to existing and new clients.
- **Sales Reporting and Documentation**:
- Maintaining accurate records of sales activities, client communications, and sales performance.
- Providing regular sales forecasts, market intelligence, and performance reports to management.
**Qualifications of a Sales Executive in the Manufacturing Industry**
- **Educational Background**:
- A bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is commonly required.
- Technical knowledge in engineering or manufacturing can be an added advantage, especially when selling complex products.
