**Position Title**: Foundry Furan Hand Moulding Supervisor
**Department**: Foundry Operations

**Experience**: Minimum 1 Year Foundry furan hand moulding supervisor

**Reports To**: Production Manager

**Key Responsibilities**:

- **Supervision of Moulding Operations**:

- Oversee the furan hand moulding process to ensure production schedules and quality standards are met.
- Assign tasks to moulders and monitor performance to maintain efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure proper preparation and mixing of furan resin and catalysts.
- **Quality Assurance**:

- Conduct regular inspections of moulds for dimensional accuracy, surface finish, and adherence to specifications.
- Ensure defect-free production by identifying and addressing issues such as shrinkage, cracks, or porosity.
- **Production Planning**:

- Coordinate with the Foundry Manager to plan daily moulding schedules.
- Manage resources, including sand, resins, and other consumables, to avoid downtime.
- Maintain a log of production output and operational challenges.
- **Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE)**:

- Ensure compliance with safety protocols during moulding and handling of chemicals.
- Promote a safe working environment by conducting regular safety briefings and hazard assessments.
- **Maintenance and Troubleshooting**:

- Oversee the maintenance of hand moulding equipment, tools, and moulding boxes.
- Troubleshoot problems in the moulding process and provide timely solutions.
- **Team Management and Training**:

- Train and mentor moulders to improve skills and productivity.
- Foster a positive and disciplined work environment.
- **Process Optimization**:

- Recommend process improvements for efficiency, cost reduction, and better-quality output.
- Collaborate with other departments (e.g., core making, melting, and casting) to streamline workflows.

**Qualifications and Skills**:

- **Education**: Diploma/Certificate in Foundry Technology or a related field. Relevant hands-on experience may be considered.
- **Experience**: Minimum 5 years of experience in furan hand moulding in a foundry, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Deep understanding of furan resin moulding processes and materials.
- Knowledge of mould design, gating systems, and defect analysis.
- Familiarity with foundry safety standards and equipment maintenance.
