Job Title: Housekeeper

Job Summary:
The housekeeper is responsible for ensuring a clean, sanitary, and organized environment in residential or commercial spaces. This includes performing a variety of cleaning tasks, handling laundry, and maintaining the overall appearance of the premises.

Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Cleaning and Sanitizing:

- Dusting and polishing furniture and fixtures.
- Sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors.
- Cleaning and sanitizing surfaces, including countertops, appliances, and bathroom fixtures.
- Emptying trash containers and disposing of waste appropriately.

2. Room Preparation:

- Making beds and changing linens.
- Arranging furniture and decorations.
- Setting up rooms for guests or residents.

3. Laundry:

- Washing, drying, folding, and ironing clothes and linens.
- Sorting and organizing laundry items.
- Handling delicate fabrics and special care items.

4. Organization:

- Maintaining order in closets, pantries, and storage areas.
- Organizing personal and household items.

5. Specialized Cleaning:

- Performing deep cleaning tasks as needed, such as carpet shampooing or window washing.
- Handling specific cleaning requirements based on the type of space (e.g., kitchens, bathrooms).

6. Inventory Management:

- Monitoring and replenishing cleaning supplies.
- Keeping an inventory of household items and reporting when replacements are needed.

7. Communication:

- Reporting any maintenance issues or damages to the appropriate personnel.
- Communicating effectively with residents, guests, or other staff members.

8. Adherence to Health and Safety Standards:

- Following proper safety procedures and using cleaning chemicals according to guidelines.
- Adhering to health and safety regulations to create a hygienic environment.

9. Flexibility:

- Being adaptable to changes in scheduling or additional tasks as needed.

Qualifications:

- Previous experience in housekeeping preferred.
- Knowledge of cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment.
- Attention to detail and thoroughness.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Good physical stamina and ability to lift heavy objects if required.

Working Conditions:
