**Educational Qualification and Skills Required**:

- **Bilingual proficiency**:A medical interpreter should be fluent in English and Malayalam language. They should be able to read, write, and speak fluently in both languages.
- **Interpreting and translation skills**: A medical interpreter should have strong interpreting and translation skills, including the ability to accurately interpret medical terminology, jargon, and complex medical concepts into simpler language.
- **Cultural knowledge**: A medical interpreter should have a good understanding of the cultural nuances and customs of both the healthcare provider and the patient to facilitate effective communication.
- **Professionalism and ethics**: A medical interpreter should conduct themselves in a professional and ethical manner, adhering to professional codes of conduct and industry standards.
- **Technical skills**:A medical interpreter should have proficiency in using technology required for remote interpreting, such as video conferencing platforms and telephonic interpreting tools.
- **Interpersonal skills**: A medical interpreter should have strong interpersonal skills, including active listening, empathy, and the ability to build rapport with patients and healthcare providers.
