Currently, we are looking for a SQL Server DBA to join our team

**Responsibilities**:

- Handle all facets of managing database servers ranging from installation and patching to creating databases to managing permissions that allow users to use the databases.
- Design and Monitor database Backup and Restoration Strategy
- Monitoring Database Backups, re-indexing Jobs, check schedule jobs not running. Implement new maintenance jobs.
- Analyze disk, file latency, contention, tuning parallelism
- Resolving prioritized slow performing reports and stored procedures
- Troubleshoot various problems that arise in a day-to-day work and fix the issues
- Performance monitoring and tuning
- Monitoring Deadlock events, analyzing the patterns
- Ensure high availability, sustainability and security
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes
- Assist developers with query tuning and schema refinement
- Perform scheduled maintenance and support and release deployment activities
- Attend to incident, request, change order and problem tickets using the agreed SLA
- Create Users and assign permissions based on the required level of database access
- Create Linked Servers to SQL Servers and other databases such as Oracle etc.

Key Competencies
- Experience in managing database servers and databases in development, test and production environments
- Experience in database administration in cloud and on premise
- Experience in performance monitoring and tuning
- Experience in AWS & Azure cloud administration like creating various cloud services and networking activities
- Experience in migration from On-Premise to any Cloud environment
- Experience in basic networking and IT/Infra related activities like managing Windows/Linux Servers.
- Experience in backups, restores and recovery models
- Good experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
- Knowledge in Failover Clustering, Database Mirroring, Backup and Restore, Optimizing Performance and T-SQL
- Willing to work on shifts and provide On-Call Support
- Experience in managing database level changes like character set changes, DB patching, upgrades etc.
- Experience in logical and physical data modeling
