Responsible for the operation of production environments, including systems and databases, supporting critical business operations. Will perform administration and analysis for multiple production environments and recommend new and novel solutions to improve availability, performance, and supportability. This is an opportunity to bring a combination of deep technical knowledge with administration/analysis knowledge of Oracle's Cloud Infrastructure to provide escalation support to a wide range of complex production environment problems related to immense growth, scaling, leveraging the cloud, extremely high performance, and high availability requirements.
- Overall seven plus years of experience administering any Linux or Unix flavor
- Hands on experience working in a 24 X 7 Operate and Maintain environment and willingness to work in shifts
- Experience in installation and configuration of Linux systems, system maintenance, system backup, system performance monitoring and troubleshooting performance issues, system security, patching, upgrades, package installation and tuning
- Hands on experience with System monitoring tools such as Nagios, Tivoli is desirable
- Working knowledge on scripting - Shell, Perl, Python, Weblogic Script(desirable)
- Good knowledge of Partitioning, Logical Volume Manager and NFS
- Good knowledge of networking - TCP/IP, DHCP, NAT, DNS and NAS/SAN
- Hands on experience on Middleware technologies such as Oracle Weblogic, Oracle SOA Suite is desirable
- Experience on any infrastructure automation using tools like SpaceWalk, Ansible, Terraform is desirable
- 1-2 years of experience on any cloud platform (AWS, Azure, Google, Oracle) is desirable. Hands-on experience on Windows Administration will be a plus
- Experience on Build and Configuration tools such as Ant, Maven, Jenkins will be a definite plus
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
