Snowflake Tester

Role Profile

The Snowflake Tester is responsible for designing, developing and implementing technical solutions from both Solution Architecture Designs (SADs) and Proof of Concept (PoC) outlines.

This role will be responsible for supporting Data Enablement team in delivering best of breed technical practice based around Snowflake Data Warehouse core toolset. Additionally, this role will liaise directly with Snowflake technical teams for PoC work on Private Preview functionality leading to demonstration of new Snowflake capabilities to a wide audience. This role may require team leadership of external resources

**Responsibilities**:

- _Build tools that help developers be more productive, write better code and test it themselves._
- _Take ownership of the automated testing framework._
- _Manual testing when automation is not implemented._
- _Keep the pace of automation in line with development teams to avoid more manual testing._
- _Identifying and resolving anomalies during test on various software and system-level platforms_
- _Identifying and implementing required software modifications_
- _Participating in technical reviews of software products_
- _Working with software development peers, domain experts, and product owner_
- _Proving on-call _diagnostic/troubleshooting_ support for features developed_

Skills and Experience:

- _Strong knowledge on Selenium Web driver UI Automation._
- _Strong knowledge on Rest-assured/Postman for API testing._
- _Minimum 3+ years of Java programming experience_
- _Exposure to Agile development methodology and approach._
- _Understand RESTful APIs and comfortable testing them._
- _Strong analytical and problem-solving skills_
- _Excellent interpersonal skills for peer-to-peer and peer-to-leadership communication_
- _Experience in handling change in priorities, scope and technologies_
- _Ability to work with broad requirements and ask the right questions to clarify_
- _Availability and capability to provide on-call _diagnostic/troubleshooting_ support for features developed_
- _Strong communication and documentation skills_
- _Experience working in support environment as a team member or a lead to resolve production issues_
- _BCA/BSc/BE degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineer, IT or any related fields_
- _3+ years relevant experience in developing test automation frameworks and performing in depth Quality Assurance for critical Production systems._
