**Role Description**:
We are seeking an experienced and strategic Purchase Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing purchasing strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring cost-effective procurement of materials and services. You will play a critical role in optimizing our supply chain operations to support the company's growth and operational efficiency.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**Strategic Procurement Planning**:
- Develop and implement comprehensive purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Forecast procurement needs and establish budgets to optimize spending and resource allocation.
- Analyse market trends to identify potential risks and opportunities in the supply chain.
**Supplier Relationship Management**:
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers and vendors.
- Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing agreements to secure the best value.
- Evaluate supplier performance regularly and address any issues related to quality, delivery, or compliance.
**Cost Management and Optimization**:
- Identify and implement cost-saving initiatives without compromising quality or service levels.
- Monitor and control procurement expenses to stay within budgetary constraints.
- Prepare detailed cost analyses and reports for senior management review.
**Inventory and Supply Chain Management**:
- Collaborate with the production and inventory teams to maintain optimal stock levels.
- Implement effective inventory management systems to prevent overstocking or stock-outs.
- Streamline procurement processes to enhance efficiency and reduce lead times.
**Compliance and Risk Management**:
- Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies, ethical standards, and legal requirements.
- Manage risks associated with supply chain disruptions, price fluctuations, and supplier reliability.
**Cross-Functional Collaboration**:
- Work closely with departments such as Production, Sales, Finance, and Quality Assurance to align procurement strategies with overall business goals.
- Participate in strategic planning meetings and contribute to decision-making processes.
**Qualifications**:
**Education**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- MBA or relevant master's degree is preferred.
**Experience**:
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful procurement strategies.
- Experience in the furniture or home decor industry is highly desirable.
**Technical Skills**:
Extensive knowledge of supply chain management principles and best practices.
Proficiency in procurement software and advanced inventory management systems.
Strong understanding of ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel for complex data analysis.
Familiarity with international sourcing, import/export regulations, and logistics management.

- Ability to identify potential risks and implement effective solutions promptly.

- Excellent time management and organizational abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Attention to detail and a high level of accuracy in all aspects of work.
**Adaptability**:
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing market conditions.
- Proactive approach to continuous improvement and staying updated with industry developments
