Executive

Position: ROW (Right-of-Way) Executive for Solar Projects

**Job Description**:
As the ROW Executive for Solar Projects, you will be responsible for managing the acquisition, negotiation, and maintenance of right-of-way agreements for our solar energy projects. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful development and operation of these projects by securing necessary land access rights, easements, and permits. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Right-of-Way Acquisition:

- Identify potential land parcels suitable for solar project development.
- Conduct feasibility studies and assessments to evaluate land suitability and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Negotiate with landowners, government agencies, and other stakeholders to secure right-of-way agreements and land leases.
- Collaborate with legal counsel to draft and review agreements, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
- Coordinate with internal teams and external consultants to address land acquisition challenges and mitigate risks.

2. Permitting and Regulatory Compliance:

- Manage the permitting process for solar projects, including environmental assessments, zoning approvals, and land use permits.
- Liaise with regulatory agencies, local authorities, and community stakeholders to obtain necessary permits and approvals.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, codes, and standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement strategies to address permitting obstacles and expedite approval timelines.

3. Stakeholder Engagement:

- Cultivate positive relationships with landowners, community members, and other stakeholders affected by solar project development.
- Communicate project objectives, benefits, and potential impacts to stakeholders in a clear and transparent manner.
- Address stakeholder concerns and grievances through effective communication and conflict resolution strategies.
- Collaborate with community organizations and local leaders to foster support for solar energy initiatives and maximize social acceptance.

4. Project Management and Reporting:

- Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and progress reports for right-of-way activities.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and contractors to ensure alignment of right-of-way efforts with project timelines and objectives.
- Monitor and evaluate project performance, identifying opportunities for process improvement and cost optimization.
- Prepare regular reports and presentations for senior management, highlighting key milestones, risks, and achievements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree in environmental science, engineering, business administration, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
- Proven experience in right-of-way acquisition, land development, or real estate management, preferably in the renewable energy industry.
- Strong understanding of land use regulations, environmental permitting processes, and property law.
- Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and resolve conflicts diplomatically.
- Demonstrated project management expertise, including the ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Knowledge of solar energy technologies, project development lifecycle, and industry best practices is desirable.
- Proficiency in GIS software, project management tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Willingness to travel frequently and work flexible hours as needed.
