### Job Title: Pharmacy Assistant
- #### Job Summary:

- The Pharmacy Assistant supports pharmacists in their daily functions, ensuring the smooth operation of the pharmacy, providing excellent customer service, and assisting with the preparation and dispensing of medications.
- #### Key Responsibilities:

- **Customer Service**: Greet and assist customers promptly, providing information about medications, services, and health products.
- **Medication Preparation**: Help prepare prescriptions, including counting pills, labeling bottles, and organizing medications.
- **Inventory Management**: Assist with inventory control by monitoring stock levels, arranging orders, and keeping track of expiration dates.
- **Record Keeping**: Maintain accurate records of prescriptions dispensed, sales, and customer interactions.
- **Basic Pharmacy Operation**: Operate pharmacy equipment, including pill counters and label printers.
- **Compliance**: Ensure adherence to all safety and regulatory guidelines in the handling and dispensing of medications.
- **Team Collaboration**: Work closely with pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care.
- #### Qualifications:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; some positions may require completion of a pharmacy technician program.
- **Skills**: Excellent communication and customer service skills, attention to detail, and basic math skills.
- **Experience**: Previous experience in a pharmacy or healthcare setting is preferred but not always necessary.
- **Certifications**: Certification as a pharmacy technician may be required depending on the employer and jurisdiction.
