**Job Summary**: To support in managing the accounting functions of the Avantor by ensuring the financial transactions are dully accounted for. Managing the Intercompany, Fixed Asset and Cash reconciliations for Avantor global business. Under the direction of the immediate supervisor, responsible for managing the intercompany aging, resolving IC issues, FA accounting, CIP follow-ups, reporting, Bank Reconciliation and accounting and other activities.
- Collaborate with various Business Partners to perform day to day activities
- Be an effective member of the General Accounting team by developing an understanding of the operational theory, processes, inter-department data and reporting requirements.
- Prepare and upload manual accounting journal entries into ERP (SAP) and document management system.
- Assist in the establishment of a consistent journal entry preparation process
- Prepare and upload monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and supporting documentation into document management and workflow tool.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Generating various system related month end close reports and assist with sub-ledger close procedures.
- Assist with the maintenance of written documentation of internal controls over accounting and financial reporting in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley.
- Assist with quarterly external audit and internal audit data gathering responsibilities utilizing a document management system
- Consistent exercise of independent judgment and discretion.
- Regular, consistent, and punctual attendance. Must be able to work
in night shift, variable schedule(s) as necessary
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned. **Skills, knowledge & experience**:

- M. Com/MBA in Finance from Reputed University preferred
- Four plus years of relevant experience is preferred
- Good written and verbal communication skills and strong analytical skills.
- Strong knowledge of Accounting, Excel and PowerPoint required.
- Prior experience with SAP, Hyperion, Qlikview are preferred.
- Prior experience in General Accounting is preferred
- Semi-qualified(CA Inter) is preferred
