Roles and Responsibilities of an Assistant Professor in Cyber Forensics

1. Teaching and Curriculum Development
- Deliver lectures, labs, and tutorials in cyber forensics, digital investigations, and related cybersecurity topics.
- Design and update curriculum to include emerging trends like AI in forensics, blockchain security, and cloud forensics.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects and thesis work in the domain.

2. Research and Development
- Conduct original research in cyber forensics, publish findings in peer-reviewed journals and conferences.
- Guide and mentor students in research methodologies and ethical practices in digital investigations.

3. Industry and Legal Collaboration
- Work with law enforcement and legal professionals on case studies and real-world cybercrime investigations.
- Offer expert advice or consultation in digital evidence handling, chain of custody, and forensic analysis.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and training programs for law enforcement or legal communities.

4. Laboratory Management and Technical Oversight
- Set up and manage cyber forensics labs, ensuring the availability of forensic tools (e.g., EnCase, FTK, Autopsy).
- Ensure students gain hands-on experience with tools and techniques in evidence acquisition, analysis, and reporting.
- Keep forensic software and hardware updated with the latest technology and security patches.

5. Academic Administration and Development
- Participate in departmental meetings, curriculum committees, and academic boards.
- Contribute to the accreditation process and quality assurance initiatives.
- Help organize academic events like conferences, webinars, or student competitions in cyber forensics.

6. Student Support and Mentorship
- Provide academic guidance and career counseling to students pursuing cyber forensic careers.
- Encourage ethical behavior, critical thinking, and continuous learning in the field.
- Support students in internships, certifications, and placement opportunities in cybercrime investigation units or private firms.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
