**Job Description**:
Primary Skills
- 8+ years of Database administration and maintenance.
- Maintain responsibility for analysis of Sybase and SQL level code.
- Operate, maintain, backup and recovery the Sybase IQ environment.
- Database design, testing, debugging and installing.
- Maintain Database patching levels
- Document and track work to provide auditing proof.
- Administer Sybase IQ and Sybase Replication Server by performing subtasks on UNIX or Linux Platforms.
- Install Configure, Start/Stop, upgrade and monitor.
- Participate in Critical Outage Calls.
- SQL Server knowledge.
- Proficiency with optimization techniques.
- Working through business requirements and design with IT partners.
- Help drive incident resolution on Critical Outage calls.
- Monitor, troubleshoot and identify root cause on recurring issues requiring
- Ability to coordinate with other teams to facilitate change and resolve issues
- Implementing changes in the weekend maintenance window.
- Troubleshooting and resolve production problems involving databases.

Mandatory Requirements
- Shift work may be required - covering weekdays, with occasional weekend for maintenance and DR exercises [to be confirmed]
- Out of hours work is required for implementation of change during scheduled change windows
- Participate in the on-call rotation schedule for after-hours and weekend support
- Ability to understand and work in a complex environment with moderate supervision in a global team environment
- Excellent customer service and English communications skills (written and oral)
- Fluency in ticketing systems and good awareness of ITIL processes and procedures
- Accuracy in execution of change, ability to execute to run books and standard procedures
- Appropriate escalation when issues occur.
- Work on incident management through problem diagnostics and resolution and facilitate blameless postmortems and ensure permanent closure of incidents.
- Support releases along with the SRE team and perform the post production release checks.
