Associate - Medical Bill Review (India)

Elevate is hiring an Associate for their Medical Billing team. As an Elevate Medical Billing Review Associate, you will be part of the offshore Medical Billing Review team, with dual reporting to both the functional billing head and the Manager of Med Legal Services in India. Your role will involve supporting Medical Billing Audit (MBA) tasks, utilizing Excel for reporting and auditing medical bills and related medical records.

**Specifically, the Medical Billing Associate will**:

- Generate Excel spreadsheet based on findings of medical record review.
- Auditing medical charges based on standardized fee references for accuracy of billing and coding.
- Analyse medical bill charges based on standard coding including ICD-9 and CPT coding.
- Review supporting medical documents and generate medical record summarization.
- Work on special projects as needed including data entry, electronic filing, organizing documents, etc.
- Understand and work competently in a virtual environment.
- Quickly learn new systems and adapt to new processes.

**Experience**
- 1.5 + years of relevant medical billing and medical adjudication experience in the Health Care Industry.
- 1 year of experience in medical record summarization will be an added advantage.

- Strong eye for detail and critical thinking skills.
- Experience working in a growing, fast-paced organization with a dynamic environment.
- Excellent track record in previous Client support/Customer Service engagements.
- Experience working directly with a US or UK client.
- Possess deep understanding of medical billing principles and ensuring compliance with clients billing terms.
- Possess knowledge of CPT and ICD-9 coding.
- Proven ability to work in a client-centric, deadline driven environment.
- Strong analytical skills, problem solving capability and resiliency.
