Architect (Retail Design)

The Retail Architect is responsible for owning key retail projects worldwide PAN INDIA, all retail formats including retail stores, and (pop-up, podium, window), concept optimization but not limited to. Responsibilities include the coordination and completion of projects on time within budget (aligned with the instore team) and within scope. Oversee all aspects of projects: concept development, production and execution phases. Set deadlines, monitor and summarize progress of project and manage stakeholders. Able to prepare reports regarding the project status.

He/She will be experienced in Retail Projects and will be able to supervise and support the brand instore expansion plan together

Key capabilities required for the role include high design and technical skills, ability to understand and master the full scope of a retail concept from development to construction phase, project management skills coupled with the ability to make operational decisions and communication skills.

**JOB DIMENSIONS & SCOPE**

**Design**: Develop/improve design retail projects and fit for use local solutions mixing permanent and temporary installations (pop-up store, podium, window) (40%)

**Execution**: Supervise and coordinate project execution and installation along with the instore team, all retail formats excluding the retail stores (55%)

**Corporate**: Contribute to retail organization, development, systems and processes, attend training sessions, company events and corporate meetings (5%)

**Geography footprint**: Pan INDIA

**Travel occasional**: as required (≈ 40%)

**Language**: English mandatory

**RETAIL ARCHITECTURE**
- Developing preliminary schematic and project design development drawings & layout based on guideline book and brief of the Instore team / Sales team.
- Coaching and training on new retail concepts (design and technical), guidelines.
- Guiding on materials & technical choice, supporting concept optimization.
- Participating in the execution of design strategy by communicating design direction and changes to external consultants, stakeholders.
- Proposing design or technical solutions and resolving challenges in cooperation with Instore stakeholders / local suppliers / agencies
- Ability to draw and draft layout / design and technical details / sketches.(MANDATORY)
- Staying abreast on retail trends in touch with the trades and competition.

**PROJECT MANAGEMENT**
- For each project ensuring resources, budget, timelines and milestones are in place and aligned with the instore team.
- Monitoring and following the project execution phases and implementation, including punchlist.
- Checking & approving design renderings and technical drawings for execution, coordinating with the Instore team.
- When necessary, participating with cross functional teams in cooperation with Instore, Marketing, Sales, Local market teams.
- Factory check whenever necessary to ensure design consistency, quality and brand design compliance.
- Together with the Instore team and the Head of Architecture, establishing project plans based on prioritized tasks, available resources, work schedules & project milestones. Managing changes to the project scope if required.
