Job Description: Coal Transporting Vehicle Supervisor

**Location**: Singrauli District, Madhya Pradesh

**Reports To**: Transportation Manager

Job Overview:
The Coal Transporting Vehicle Supervisor will oversee the operations of coal transport vehicles in the Singrauli District. This role involves ensuring safe, efficient, and timely transportation of coal from mining sites to designated delivery points while maintaining compliance with all regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:
1. **Supervision of Transport Operations**
- Oversee daily operations of coal transport vehicles.
- Schedule and manage transport routes to optimize efficiency and minimize delays.
- Ensure that all vehicles are loaded and unloaded safely and efficiently.

2. **Safety and Compliance**
- Implement and enforce safety protocols and regulations to ensure a safe working environment.
- Conduct regular inspections of vehicles and equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards.
- Organize and conduct safety training sessions for drivers and transportation staff.

3. **Team Management**
- Supervise and manage a team of drivers and transport staff, providing guidance and support.
- Conduct performance evaluations and identify training needs for team members.
- Foster a positive work environment focused on teamwork and collaboration.

4. **Monitoring and Reporting**
- Track and monitor transport schedules, vehicle maintenance, and fuel consumption.
- Prepare and maintain accurate records of transport activities, including delivery logs and incident reports.
- Analyze performance metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.

5. **Communication and Coordination**
- Liaise with mine management, clients, and regulatory authorities to coordinate transportation activities.
- Provide timely updates on transport status and address any operational issues promptly.

6. **Inventory Management**
- Assist in managing inventory levels and coordinating with warehouse staff for loading and unloading activities.

Qualifications:

- **Education**: High school diploma or equivalent; degree in logistics, transportation, or a related field preferred.
- **Experience**: Minimum of 3 years of experience in transportation or logistics, with at least 1 year in a supervisory role.
- **Skills**:

- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
