System Administrator

**We are Ginteja Insurance Brokers Private Limited (Promoted by Two Big companies - Shyam Steel and Sastasundar).**

**Position Overview**:
We are seeking a highly skilled System & Database Administrator with experience in Infrastructure Management, CI/CD, Version Management, Release Management, and expertise in MySQL/SQL databases. This combined role will focus on maintaining and optimizing the infrastructure, ensuring smooth deployment pipelines, managing databases, and ensuring that both systems and databases run at peak performance.

**Key Responsibilities**:
System Administration:

- Administer and maintain Linux/Windows servers, ensuring high availability and performance.
- Monitor system health, troubleshoot, and resolve any issues related to server uptime, performance, and security.

Database Administration (DBA):

- Manage and maintain MySQL or SQL databases, ensuring data integrity, backup, and recovery procedures.
- Perform database tuning, optimization, and query performance improvements.
- Design, implement, and maintain database schemas, tables, and indexes for high performance.
- Handle database migrations and upgrades in a seamless and efficient manner.
- Monitor database health and performance, providing alerts and resolutions as necessary.

CI/CD & Version Management:

- Implement and manage Continuous Integration (CI) and Continuous Deployment (CD) pipelines.
- Automate deployment workflows and version control processes using tools like Jenkins, GitLab or similar CI/CD tools.
- Collaborate with development teams to ensure smooth, automated deployments and version management.
- Assist in maintaining code repositories, branching strategies, and managing release cycles.

Release Management:

- Plan, schedule, and coordinate the release of software updates and patches across the infrastructure.
- Ensure proper release documentation and version control are followed during deployment cycles.
- Coordinate with stakeholders for release sign-offs and testing phases, ensuring a smooth transition from development to production.

Infrastructure Management:

- Implement and manage scalable infrastructure solutions, focusing on cloud-based (AWS, Azure, GCP) and on-premises systems.
- Ensure high availability, scalability, and disaster recovery strategies are in place.
- Automate infrastructure provisioning and management using automation tools like Terraform, Ansible, or Chef.
- Monitor and analyze system logs, metrics, and performance data to proactively resolve issues.

**Primary Skills (required)**:

- Proven experience as a System Administrator in a Linux/Windows environment in on-prem and/or any cloud platforms (AWS preferably)
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator with expertise in MySQL or SQL Server.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipeline setup and management (Jenkins, GitLab CI, etc.).
- Proficient in Version Control systems like Git (GitHub, GitLab, Bitbucket).
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and/or Kubernetes.
- Release Management experience with an understanding of software lifecycle and change management.
- Strong knowledge of backup and recovery strategies for databases.
- Proficiency with monitoring and alerting tools (e.g., Cloud Watch, Datadog, etc.).
- Experience in performance tuning for both systems and databases.

**Secondary Skills (preferred)**:

- Certifications such as RedHat Certified Engineer (RHCE), AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or MySQL Database Administrator are a plus.
- Experience working with Infrastructure automation tools (Terraform, Ansible, etc.).
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.
- Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to manage both systems and databases under pressure.

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Total 5-10 years of extensive professional experience in supporting system infrastructure and DB management in On-prem and/or Cloud platforms (AWS preferably).
- Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally with development, QA, and operations teams.

Pay: ₹800,000.00 - ₹1,200,000.00 per year
