**Introduction to the role**:
Join us as an International Distribution Coordinator, where you will play a pivotal role in
handling customer orders from allocation through to delivery. You will be responsible for
producing documentation to support shipments from our suppliers and warehouses to
customers, maintaining regular contact with suppliers, freight forwarders, and other
AstraZeneca functions. This role offers the opportunity to work in a global environment,
with a strong focus on cross-functional collaboration.
**Accountabilities**:
As an International Distribution Coordinator, you will be tasked with planning the
distribution of pharmaceutical products in compliance with international road, sea, and air
transport legislation. You will raise required shipping documentation and facilitate
communication between a global network of external suppliers, AZ sites, freight forwarders,
customs, and supply chain planners, to ensure timely delivery of products. You will also
handle the administration and investigation of supply and logistics complaints and drive
improvements.
**Essential Skills/Experience**:
- Degree in Supply Chain or Logistics or other relevant business field - equivalent
experience will be taken into consideration.
- Experience and knowledge in distribution, logistics or freight forwarding.
- Appreciation for standards and data accuracy
- Strong system knowledge and understanding order management, invoice
management, and distribution.
- SAP (ERP) experience
- Ability to Work Flexibly
- Willingness to go above and beyond.
- Veeva Vault QMS, SharePoint experience desirable
- Microsoft Windows / Office literate
- Fluent in English
**Desirable Skills/Experience**:
- Experience in pharmaceutical industry
- Knowledge of international shipping regulations
- Strong problem-solving skills
