Biomedical Technician

1. **Equipment Management**
- Install, calibrate, maintain, and repair biomedical equipment such as ventilators, monitors, defibrillators, infusion pumps, X-ray machines, etc.
- Maintain an up-to-date **equipment inventory** (Asset Management).
- Schedule and perform **preventive maintenance (PM)** and **corrective maintenance (CM)**.

2. **Safety & Compliance**
- Ensure all biomedical equipment complies with **hospital safety standards**, **manufacturer guidelines**, and **regulatory requirements** (NABH, NABL, ISO, AERB, etc.).
- Conduct **safety checks** and **risk assessments** on all devices.

3. **Technical Support**
- Provide **technical assistance** to doctors, nurses, and technicians regarding the proper use of medical equipment.
- Troubleshoot issues during clinical procedures and emergencies.

4. **Documentation & Reporting**
- Maintain logs for maintenance, calibration, breakdowns, and repairs.
- Prepare **annual maintenance contracts (AMCs)** and **comprehensive maintenance contracts (CMCs)** with vendors.
- Submit reports to hospital management regarding equipment status and performance.

5. **Training & Education**
- Train clinical staff on new or upgraded medical equipment.
- Organize workshops or in-service education programs.

6. **Procurement Assistance**
- Evaluate new equipment and technologies for purchase.
- Coordinate with vendors for demo, installation, and warranty management.

7. **Regulatory & Quality Audits**
- Support hospital audits and inspections (NABH, JCI, etc.).
- Maintain documentation and evidence of compliance for all devices.

8. **Emergency Response**
- Be available on-call for **critical equipment failures**, especially in ICU, OT, and emergency departments.

9. **Disposal of Obsolete Equipment**
- Recommend safe and compliant disposal methods for outdated or non-functional biomedical equipment.
- Key Departments Interfaced With Department -CCU/ICU, OT, Radiology, Laboratory, Emergency, Dialysis, CSSD, and Facility Management.

Pay: From ₹15,000.00 per month
