Reporting to Site lead/FM and key responsibilities include
**Basic Cleaning Tasks**:
Performing routine cleaning duties like vacuuming, mopping floors, dusting furniture, emptying trash bins, and maintaining washroom cleanliness.
**Waste Management**:
Sorting and disposing of waste according to company guidelines, managing recycling bins.
**Reception Support**:
Answering phone calls, greeting visitors, managing mail distribution, and providing basic information.
**Customer Service**:
Interacting with building occupants, addressing basic concerns, and maintaining a positive customer experience.
**Stock Management**:
Maintaining cleaning supplies inventory, reporting shortages to supervisors.
**Health and Safety**:
Adhering to safety procedures, reporting hazards, and participating in safety training.
**Compliance**:
Following company policies and procedures regarding cleaning standards and quality control.
**Learning and Development**:
Actively participating in training sessions to gain knowledge of cleaning techniques, facility layout, and relevant industry standards.
**Teamwork**:
Collaborating with other cleaning staff to ensure the smooth operation of the facility.
**Skills and Qualifications**:
Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining cleanliness standards
Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and equipment
Good communication and interpersonal skills to interact with customers and colleagues
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Willingness to learn and follow instructions
Physical ability to perform cleaning tasks including lifting and bending
**Important Points to Remember**:
This role is typically an entry-level position with the expectation of progression to a fully qualified Facilities Services Operative.
The specific duties of a Soft Services Apprentice may vary depending on the size and type of facility they are working in.
