Transport Architect Job Description

Position: - one

Years of Experience: - 10+ years

**Roles & Responsibilities / Skills Required:

- **
- The job role requires Engineering Product Architecture and development experience on Routers and switches for access, backhaul, midhaul and long-haul networks.
- The job would require clear understanding of 5G split options, deployment architecture, transport network topology and functional requirements based on 3GPP and IETF standards.
- Deep experience of disaggregated transport network architecture, system dimensioning of the network element from forwarding plane, control plane and management plane perspective along with analysis of off the shelf components to realize the functionality is essential.
- Ability to use a commercial stack, familiarity with chipset vendor's SDKs (e.g. Broadcom, Intel) is essential.
- Familiarity of O-RAN, TIP open transport standards and other emerging transport technologies like Segment routing, time sensitive networking etc would be an added advantage.
- Ability to evaluate system level performance for a given hardware platform, ability to implement the system in C for lower layers, P4 for forwarding plane and OOP for upper layers (e.g. management plane) and ability to define and develop OAM capabilities of a Router is a must.
- Hands on experience on debugging in real time Linux environment with tools like GDB, Traffic generators, protocol analyzers etc is a must.
