**Requirements**:
1. Monitor performance and manage parameters in order to provide fast responses to front-end users 2. Map out the conceptual design for a planned database
2. Should be able to write DB queries and do the script deployment.
3. Consider both back-end organization of data and front-end accessibility for end-users
4. Configure and Run Schedule jobs
5. Performance tuning and indexing on Database.
6. Install and test new versions of the database management system (DBMS)
7. Maintain data standards, including adherence to the Data Protection Act
8. Write database documentation, including data standards, procedures and definitions for the data dictionary (metadata)
9. Control access permissions and privileges
10. Develop, manage and test back-up and recovery plans
11. Ensure that storage and archiving procedures are functioning correctly
12. carry out capacity planning
13. work closely with Senior DBA and manage the DB related activities.
16. Manage the security and disaster recovery aspects of a database.
17. Knowledge of Data Migration will be an added advantage
18.Self-motivation and a can-do attitude
19 Graduate degree in technical disciplines
20 Solid communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with the customer
21 Should be good written & Verbal communication skills.
22 Ability to monitor and tune queries for performance
24 Ability to monitor and tune queries for performance
25 Monitoring production databases for potential problems and advising remedial action
