**Job Summary**: The Vendor Onboarding Specialist is responsible for managing the onboarding process for new vendors, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. This role will collaborate with various departments to streamline vendor registration, maintain accurate records, and enhance vendor relationships.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- **Vendor Registration**: Facilitate the onboarding process for new vendors, including collecting necessary documentation, completing due diligence, and entering data into the vendor management system.
- **Compliance Management**: Ensure all vendors comply with company policies, including risk assessments, background checks, and regulatory requirements.
- **Documentation Review**: Verify and maintain vendor documentation
- **Communication**: Serve as the primary point of contact for vendors during the onboarding process, addressing inquiries and providing guidance.
- **Training and Support**: Educate vendors on company systems, processes, and expectations, ensuring a smooth transition into the vendor network.
- **Data Management**: Maintain accurate and up-to-date vendor records in the database; monitor and resolve any discrepancies.
- **Reporting**: Generate and analyze reports related to vendor onboarding metrics, identifying areas for improvement.
- **Collaboration**: Work closely with procurement, finance, and legal teams to ensure seamless integration of new vendors.
**Qualifications**:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or a related field preferred.
- 1+ years of experience in vendor management, procurement, or accounts payable.
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite; experience with vendor management software is a plus.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
**Preferred Skills**:
- Familiarity with compliance regulations and vendor risk management.
- Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration.
