**About the Role**:
Technology never stops evolving. As part of the C.H.I.R.A.G. Product Design team, Industrial Designers know what our engineers need to know and how to teach it. As an Industrial Designer, you will be responsible for onsite part-level and device reviews to ensure they meet the quality standards set by the Industrial Designer (ID) team. You will be part of a team of designers and CMF experts working closely with engineering, quality, and supply chain to deliver the best of C.H.I.R.A.G. through our devices. You will help influence product design and future visions.

**Qualifications**:
University, B.S., M.S or equivalent education with industrial design or product design focus, B.Des or M.Des

**You would be a part of (a few of the below, based on your capability matrix and the availability of the project/team to mentor you)**:

- Research industry literature, attend industry-specific tradeshows and build a knowledge base of product trends through conversations with production, engineering and sales professionals which will lead to new product design ideas.
- Work with clients in order to understand design parameters within defined product categories and research the demographics of consumer product use.
- Create preliminary artistic drawings in the form of illustrations and storyboards of product concepts, present them to clients for feedback and creatively use the feedback to refine product design.
- Use CAD software to refine designs and create virtual models of products.
- Utilize 3D printing to create product prototypes that are both non-functional and working in order to evaluate their practicality.
- Collaborate with a team of manufacturing professionals and engineers to evaluate product prototypes in order to determine production feasibility and costs.
- Transferring design briefings from your internal customers into brand-specific design concepts, ensuring a consistent look and feel.
- Utilize computer-aided industrial design (CAID) software to instruct manufacturing equipment on how to build the finalized product design and present it to the manufacturing department.
- Visualizing and presenting your ideas, concepts and solutions to internal stakeholders. Continuously aligning on technical feasibility and economic viability.
- Researching design and design-related trends as well as user insights and needs.
- Developing fascinating design concepts for future well-being products.

**Expected Outcomes of the Training-cum-internship**:

- **Strong visualization & software skills.
- Proficiency with CAD (e.g. Solidworks or Rhino), KeyShot, Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, XD or Sketch and MS Office required.
- Good understanding of User Experience Design logic.
- Good understanding of standard industrial manufacturing methods like metal processing, plastic injection molding and CMF.
- Excellent interpersonal skills, absolute integrity, and a strong work ethic.
