We are seeking a dedicated and empathetic Education Counselor to join our team. As an Education Counselor, you will play a crucial role in providing support and guidance to students and their parents regarding academic performance, scholarship opportunities, and result improvement programs. Your primary objective will be to assess students' educational needs, address their concerns, and develop personalized strategies to help them achieve their academic goals.

**Responsibilities**:

- Conduct one-on-one counseling sessions with students to assess their academic strengths, weaknesses, and goals.
- Collaborate with students to identify obstacles to academic success and develop tailored action plans to address them.
- Assist students in identifying their interests, aptitudes, and career aspirations, and explore educational pathways that align with their goals.
- Monitor students' academic progress, attendance, and participation in extracurricular activities, and intervene as needed to support their success.
- Communicate regularly with parents or guardians to discuss students' academic performance, behavior, and any concerns or challenges they may be facing.
- Coordinate with teachers, administrators, and other school staff to develop and implement interventions to support student learning and achievement.
- Organize workshops, seminars, and informational sessions for students and parents on topics such as study skills, test preparation, time management, and college planning.
- Maintain accurate records of counseling sessions, student assessments, and progress towards academic goals, ensuring confidentiality and privacy.
- Stay informed about developments in the field of education, including changes in curriculum, standardized testing, and college admissions requirements.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or a related field from an accredited institution.
- Previous experience working in education, counseling, or a related field.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Empathy, patience, and the ability to listen actively and nonjudgmentally to students' concerns and needs.
- Knowledge of academic advising principles, career development theories, and counseling techniques.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Proficiency in using technology and educational software for counseling, record keeping, and communication purposes.
- Commitment to promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion in education and supporting the success of all students.
- Willingness to undergo background checks and fulfill any other requirements mandated by regulatory agencies or employers.
