**About the team**

**What you will be doing**
- Deep knowledge and hands-on cloud infrastructure experience of handling High Availability, Reliability, Backup/Restore, GEO redundancy and Disaster Recovery scenarios
- Must have 7+ years advance level in Azure PostgreSQL Performance Tuning, Optimization with best practices
- Experience in design High availability (Reliability) in Azure Database for PostgreSQL
- Experience Geo-disaster recovery in Azure Database for PostgreSQL
- Experience in setup Read replicas in Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible Server
- Demonstrable experience working with huge, interdependent, complex datasets and data structures.
- Expert Level SQL, PL/pgSQL, including stored procedures, functions, triggers, and views.
- Ability to efficiently write database code without compromising data quality, privacy or security.
- Knowledge of database design principles, query optimization, index management, integrity checks
- Work with product owners to ensure database code meets requirements
- Advance in in data modeling. Identify potential issues in database and SQL issues to solve them early.
- Expert in physical and logical PostgreSQL database design and identify flaws in the design and fix.
- Design, Architect and Tune PostgreSQL databases on the Azure Database for PostgreSQL - Flexible Server
- 5 years + hands-on experience with Microsoft Flex Servers, KQL queries, Query store, Intelligent tuning, and query stats
- Excellent with troubleshooting skills in Microsoft Azure PostgreSQL layers (servers and databases)
- Plan and coordinate with Microsoft for data backups, DR restore/recovery and setup vendor escalation procedures.
- Manage PostgreSQL database Security, Audit, and Hardening
- Provide 24 x 7 operation and on-call production support

**What you bring**:

- Experience in project management methodologies is desired including ability to estimate, plan, manage and communicate activities/deliverables of a mid-size project plan, i.e., a plan that affects a single system or product family and uses multiple resources
- Working knowledge of at least one database management system or a proven ability to learn new technologies and use that knowledge effectively
- Effective communication and team skills with an ability to cooperate, present to and participate with peers/team members
- Basic knowledge of operating systems and systems administration concepts
- Personal commitment to stay current with latest technology concepts
- Good problem solving, analytical and critical thinking skills
- Identifies and resolves less clearly defined problems using established procedures and/or protocols as guidelines
