**Job Title: Tableau Administrator**

We are looking for an experienced Tableau Administrator to join our team. The Tableau Administrator will be responsible for the installation, configuration, maintenance, and support of Tableau Server and Tableau Online environments. This role requires a strong understanding of Tableau’s architecture, security, performance optimization, and best practices to ensure efficient operation and optimal user experience across the organization. You will collaborate with the BI team to implement upgrades, monitor system performance, and provide troubleshooting support.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Tableau Server Installation & Configuration: Install, configure, and manage Tableau Server and Tableau Online environments, ensuring proper system setup and configuration.
- System Maintenance & Upgrades: Plan and implement regular Tableau Server upgrades, patches, and security updates to ensure the platform remains up-to-date and secure.
- Performance Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor system performance, including CPU, memory, and disk usage, and optimize the Tableau Server environment for improved performance and reliability.
- User and Permissions Management: Manage user access and permissions within Tableau Server, including setting up user groups, defining roles, and ensuring compliance with internal security policies.
- Data Source & Workbook Management: Oversee the deployment of Tableau workbooks, data sources, and schedules, ensuring that they are optimized for performance and meet user needs.
- Security & Compliance: Implement security policies, monitor data access, and ensure compliance with internal and external regulatory requirements (e.g., data privacy laws).
- Backup & Disaster Recovery: Implement and manage Tableau Server backup and disaster recovery strategies, ensuring business continuity.
- Automation & Scheduling: Configure and manage extract refresh schedules, subscriptions, and alerts to ensure timely delivery of reports and dashboards.
- Troubleshooting & Support: Provide timely and effective support for Tableau Server issues, troubleshoot performance problems, resolve connectivity issues, and ensure uptime.
- Documentation & Training: Maintain clear and up-to-date documentation on Tableau Server setup, configurations, processes, and procedures. Provide training and support to users and other Tableau administrators.
- Collaboration with BI Teams: Work closely with Tableau developers, data analysts, and business stakeholders to support data needs, performance issues, and system enhancements.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Experience with Tableau Server: Strong experience in Tableau Server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance of Tableau environments.
- Server Management Skills: Proficiency with server management tools and processes (e.g., Linux/Windows Server, SQL databases, network troubleshooting).
- Performance Tuning: Experience with optimizing Tableau Server performance, including managing large datasets, improving query performance, and troubleshooting server bottlenecks.
- Security & Permissions Management: Deep understanding of Tableau’s security model, including user roles, permissions, and access controls.
- Automation and Scheduling: Familiarity with scheduling, automating tasks, and setting up alerts in Tableau Server to manage report refreshes and subscriptions.
- Data Management: Knowledge of Tableau data sources, extract management, and connection configurations, including connections to relational databases (e.g., SQL, Oracle).
- Problem-Solving Skills: Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues quickly and effectively.
- Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills for interacting with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Documentation Skills: Ability to create and maintain clear and concise documentation for Tableau Server setup and processes.
