Cisco Routing and Switching Network TL (Data and Voice) - Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Cisco Routing and Switching Network TL to oversee the planning and execution of network infrastructure transitions & RUN. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing the migration of our enterprise network to new Cisco routing and switching technologies while ensuring the seamless integration of data and voice components. This role requires strong technical expertise in data and voice networking as well as project management and leadership skills. - Responsibilities: o Lead the transition and migration of the network infrastructure to new Cisco routing and switching technologies. o Develop project plans timelines and resource allocation for network transition activities. o Coordinate with stakeholders including network engineers vendors and cross-functional teams to ensure a smooth transition process. o Design and implement network architectures using Cisco routing and switching technologies to support the organization's objectives. o Collaborate with the team to integrate data and voice networking components including IP telephony VoIP protocols and unified communications systems. o Perform network assessments and analysis to identify transition requirements and risks. o Develop and implement network migration strategies including phased migration plans and rollback procedures. o Ensure network capacity planning and optimization to support the organization's current and future needs. o Define and enforce network security policies protocols and best practices during the transition process. o Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues during the transition phase working closely with the team to address any challenges. o Document network configurations transition processes and operating procedures for future reference. o Provide technical guidance and mentorship to the network engineering team throughout the transition process. o Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in Cisco routing switching and voice technologies. - Qualifications/Experience: o Bachelor's degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field. o Cisco certifications such as CCNP or CCIE Routing and Switching. o Proven experience in planning and executing network infrastructure transitions using Cisco technologies. o In-depth knowledge of routing protocols (BGP OSPF EIGRP) and switching technologies (VLANs STP EtherChannel). o Strong understanding of VoIP protocols (SIP H.323) and unified communications systems. o Should have excellent understanding of ACI APIC datacenter design and build exposer. o Experience with network security principles practices and technologies. o Proficient in network monitoring and troubleshooting tools. o Project management experience with a track record of successfully managing complex network transition projects. o Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. o Strong communication and interpersonal skills. o Leadership abilities to guide and motivate the team during the transition process. o This job description provides an overview of the responsibilities and qualifications for a Cisco Routing and Switching Transition Lead with a focus on data and voice networking.
