Role Summary

WSP is seeking a highly skilled individual for this role to join the Structures team on major multi-disciplinary project delivery, from concept stage through to detailed design. The role will focus on developing and managing detailed 3D models and implementing BIM best practices through design production and coordination across multiple discipline teams. Accountabilities of the role include production of high-quality coordinated models and project deliverables, technical and people leadership and project delivery leadership for their team. The role holder must take a proactive ‘hands on’ approach to all aspects of the role.

**Responsibilities**:
Project and Technical Delivery
- Create detailed and accurate structural 3D models and cuts for drawing production ensuring the models adhere to project specifications and industry standards.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate structural models with architectural and MEP (Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing) models. Conduct clash detection and resolve conflicts within model.
- Perform regular quality checks on models to ensure accuracy and compliance with project requirements.
- Maintain model integrity and update models as necessary throughout the project lifecycle.
- Ensure models comply with BIM Execution Plans including implementation and adherence to company-specific BIM protocols and procedures.
- Familiarisation with project relevant standards (ISO, etc).
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and convey complex information clearly.

Key Competencies / Skills
- Strong experience working on the structures of metro schemes and station design, ideally including sub-surface/underground metros.
- At least 5 years MicroStation experience; proficient in AECOsim / OpenBuildings Designer.
- Good experience in advanced structural 3D modelling, including the ability to handle complex curved and sloping structures.
- Proficient in using Bentley ProjectWise for managing project data and workflows.
- Understanding of buildability principles and good knowledge of steel and reinforced concrete (RC) framed structures.
- Hardworking and self-motivated, with a proactive approach to tasks and challenges.
- Well-versed in BIM standards and the latest industry practices.
- International experience preferred.
- Technical Focus on the delivery of the models and drawings to the required regulations and quality standards.
- A strong fundamental understanding of all aspects of BIM (CDE, workflows, clash detection, quality assurance, templates, libraries, tools, etc).
