**Key Responsibilities:1. Academic Duties**:

- Plan, prepare, and deliver **comprehensive English lessons** that align with the **CBSE/ICSE/State Board curriculum**.
- Teach **English Literature and Language**, focusing on **reading comprehension, writing skills, grammar, and literary analysis**.
- Develop innovative lesson plans to **engage students in discussions, debates, and creative activities**.
- Prepare students for **board examinations, Olympiads, competitive exams, and language proficiency tests (IELTS/TOEFL, etc.)**.
- Assign and evaluate **homework, assignments, tests, and projects**, ensuring timely feedback.
- Identify and address the learning needs of students through **remedial classes, mentoring, and personalized learning strategies**.
- Encourage students to develop **critical thinking, analytical skills, and effective communication abilities**.

**2. Classroom Management**:

- Maintain a **positive and disciplined classroom environment** conducive to learning.
- Foster **respect, inclusivity, and active participation** among students.
- Implement innovative teaching strategies such as **flipped classrooms, project-based learning, and technology integration**.
- Utilize **audio-visual tools, smart boards, and online resources** to enhance learning experiences.

**3. Assessment and Student Development**:

- Conduct periodic **formative and summative assessments** to gauge student progress.
- Prepare **question papers, mark schemes, and grading rubrics** in alignment with board guidelines.
- Provide **constructive feedback** to students and guide them in improving their performance.
- Analyze student performance trends and implement **improvement plans** where necessary.
- Offer career guidance and academic counseling to help students with higher education opportunities.

**4. Extracurricular and Co-curricular Involvement**:

- Organize **literary events, debates, quizzes, drama competitions, and writing workshops**.
- Encourage students to participate in **essay writing contests, elocution, poetry recitation, and storytelling**.
- Serve as a mentor for **students interested in journalism, creative writing, or public speaking**.
- Coordinate with the school library for **reading programs and book clubs**.

**5. Collaboration and Professional Development**:

- Work closely with the **Head of Department and fellow teachers** to improve curriculum delivery.
- Attend **staff meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and training programs**.
- Stay updated with the latest developments in **English literature, teaching methodologies, and educational technology**.
- Engage in **continuous professional development (CPD)** through workshops, certifications, and research.
