- Perform vehicle level simulation by changing vehicle and powertrain parameters to meet FE targets for Daimler Trucks and Buses
- Good programming skills in Matlab and Python
- Understand partners expectations/requirements and translate that to work packages.
- Will be responsible for all results shared and providing countermeasure as needed.
- Work in a global working culture being completely responsible for the task assigned and provide solutions through simulations.
- Work in a collaborative environment to meet project challenges/requirement and time-line.

On Job responsibilities includes:

- Need to carryout 1D-Fuel Economy calculations for different conventional/Hybrid and/or EV/FCEV at DTICI, Bangalore along with existing team working with global partners and report FE numbers with responsibility.
- Would be responsible for all 1-D Vehicle simulations results carried out by him/her.
- Should be able to formulate simulation based on physical description of the problem in Daimler Internal Tools for FE and Range Estimation
- Correlate vehicle level results with simulation, identify gaps and suggest model improvement/ correction /enhancement to close the gaps.
- Communicate technical information effectively with team members, partner & other stake holders.
- Support team in project execution on need basis.
- Keep team and partner updated on project status through mail/Chat/meetings.
- Prepare self-explanatory reports with adequate post processing, explanations and provide directions as summary and next steps

Technical skills
- Good understanding of vehicle level energy management is necessary for an electric/conventional vehicle.
- Should have high degree of proficiency in 1-D tools like Matlab/Simulink and/or equivalent industry tools.
- Should have good idea about working with vehicle and powertrain models.
- Should have experience with test correlation of vehicle simulation model.
- Should find scope for innovation in his day to day work to find avenues for performance enhancement and automation in work related topics

2+ yrs. experience in 1D System modeling of vehicle/powertrain/thermal system of an electric / conventional/hybrid vehicle

2+ yrs experience in FE and Range estimation calculation for EV/Conventional/Hybrid vehicle
