**The Role**:
The person on this role will focus on study of climate change impact on agriculture / wind / wildfire risk as part of WTW’s Climate and Resilience Hub (CRH), including:

- Development and assessment of climate change impacts on key climate perils such as wind and wildfire, as well as on the agricultural sector.
- Evaluation of wind / wildfire hazard profiles from scientific research and vendor models
- Development of in-house qualitative and quantitative risk assessment tools/methodologies

The person will also be providing high quality consulting and technical services to our corporate and financial sector clients across the world, collaborating with colleagues across global hubs.

**Requirements**:

- PhD in atmospheric science, meteorology, climate / earth systems science, civil / environmental engineering / agrometeorology, or similar fields
- 0 - 8 years of relevant experience
- Strong analytical, science and/or mathematical-based background with proven experience in the field of natural hazards and climate change risk
- Hands-on experience with climate models (i.e., CMIP, GCMs, RCMs, etc.).
- Experience with Earth Observation datasets.
- Proficient in python / R
- Knowledge of climate risk assessments, understanding of climate uncertainty
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Creative and able to work in a highly dynamic environment ensuring outputs are robust and quality assured
- Can manage expectations effectively and support the team under pressure
- Can work to specifications and instructions, but also adaptable to specific project needs
- Has a passion for solving the global climate emergency.

**Preferred**
- Experience with traditional GIS software: ArcGIS or QGIS.
- Experience working in coding development environments
- Experience with exposure and vulnerability databases and data cleansing / validation
- Experience with climate transition risk data and models
- Experience with statistical analysis tools
- Experience working with Linux and command line scripting
