Position Summary

The Fabrication Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily activities of the fabrication team in the manufacturing process. This position ensures the production of high-quality parts and assemblies in accordance with customer specifications, safety standards, and production schedules. The supervisor will manage a team of fabricators, welders, and machine operators, providing leadership and guidance to meet production goals while maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.

Key Responsibilities

1. **Team Supervision and Leadership**
- Lead, train, and motivate the fabrication team to meet daily, weekly, and monthly production goals.
- Provide ongoing coaching, feedback, and performance evaluations.
- Ensure team members adhere to company policies, safety standards, and quality control procedures.
- Resolve work-related issues and conflicts within the team promptly and effectively.

2. **Production Management**
- Plan, prioritize, and coordinate daily fabrication activities to ensure on-time delivery of products.
- Monitor production progress, identify potential delays, and take corrective actions as necessary.
- Ensure that all fabrication work complies with industry standards, customer requirements, and company quality specifications.
- Maintain production schedules, track progress, and communicate status updates to management.

3. **Quality Assurance and Control**
- Ensure products meet or exceed quality standards by enforcing strict adherence to quality control processes.
- Review and inspect completed work to verify accuracy and adherence to blueprints, drawings, and specifications.
- Implement corrective actions as needed to address any quality issues or deviations from the required specifications.

4. **Safety and Compliance**
- Promote and enforce a culture of safety within the fabrication department.
- Ensure that all team members use personal protective equipment (PPE) and follow safety protocols.
- Conduct regular safety meetings and ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and other applicable safety standards.
- Investigate accidents or incidents and take corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence.

5. **Equipment and Material Management**
- Monitor and manage the maintenance and proper use of fabrication equipment (e.g., CNC machines, welders, etc.).
- Coordinate with inventory control to ensure materials and supplies are available for fabrication processes.
- Identify and recommend improvements or replacements for equipment to increase productivity and reduce downtime.

6. **Continuous Improvement**
- Actively participate in initiatives for process improvement, cost reduction, and lean manufacturing practices.
- Provide feedback to the production and engineering teams on potential improvements in design, materials, or processes.

Skills & Qualifications
- Education*
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in a fabrication or manufacturing environment, including at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role.
- Strong background in welding, fabrication, machining, and assembly processes.
- **Skills**:

- In-depth knowledge of fabrication techniques, welding, blueprint reading, and quality control standards.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to troubleshoot and resolve production issues.
- Proficiency in using fabrication tools, machinery, and software (e.g., CAD systems, ERP software).
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- The role typically requires standing, walking, and working in a production environment that may involve exposure to noise, dust, and temperature fluctuations.
- PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) such as safety glasses, gloves, and hearing protection will be required on-site.
- Ability to work in shifts, including evenings, weekends, or overtime as required to meet production deadlines.

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
