About the Role
As an Assurance and Well Managed Associate in the Business Governance Assurance team, you’ll play a key role in providing 1st line operational risk management, assurance and well managed support to business segments within Australia Commercial Division. The Assurance and Well Managed Associate works closely with the Senior Assurance and Well Managed Manager, Assurance and Well Managed Lead and other stakeholders within the Australia Commercial Division and across the enterprise to ensure all required obligations and requirements from a non-financial and well managed perspective are met.

What will your day look like?
As an Assurance and Well Managed Associate, you are accountable to:
Support the Senior Assurance & Well Managed Manager to deliver on critical requirements for the segment you support within Australia and the Global Capability Centre (GCC).
Provide assurance over quality and adequacy of risks, controls, treatments, events, audit items, Change Management etc.
Provide reporting and insights, identify trends and make recommendations in relation to how risks are being identified, assessed and treated across the segment.
Partner with businesses to support them in delivering their own risk management accountabilities (e.g. Changes, events, treatments, Control design, risk forums) via provision of input, expertise, coaching and guidance.
Deliver solutions and advice that are sustainable in design and operation improving risk maturity and embedding.
Mature risk management ecosystem, including proactively identifying and responding to internal/external influences at a segment level.
Drive improvement in risk capability/culture/awareness and promote operational risk management as a core capability across all Business Units.

**Risk and Issue Management**: Competence in identifying and assessing risks, determining corrective actions to control or eliminate them, and effectively managing issues as they arise.
**Planning and Prioritization**: Expertise in organizing tasks and resources to meet customer needs and strategic priorities, including identifying dependencies and ensuring timely delivery.
**Controls Design**: Ability to specify and design controls (e.g., processes, devices, or practices) to prevent, detect, or remediate identified risks.
**Relationship Building**: Aptitude for building and nurturing internal and external relationships, fostering trust and empathy to facilitate collaboration and achieve mutual goals.
