**Responsibilities**:

- **Patient Billing**:

- Generate accurate bills for outpatient services.
- Verify patient information, insurance details, and eligibility for coverage.
- **Insurance Claims Processing**:

- Prepare and submit insurance claims for outpatient procedures in a timely manner.
- Communicate with insurance companies to resolve claim rejections, denials, and discrepancies.
- **Financial Counseling**:

- Provide financial counseling to patients, explaining billing procedures, charges, and available payment options.
- Assist patients in understanding insurance coverage and resolving billing inquiries.
- **Documentation and Record Keeping**:

- Maintain accurate and organized records of outpatient billing transactions.
- Document all communication with patients, insurance companies, and internal stakeholders.
- **Payment Collection**:

- Monitor and follow up on outstanding patient balances.
- Coordinate with the finance department to facilitate timely payment collections.
- **Adherence to Compliance Standards**:

- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations.
- Stay informed about changes in billing.
- **Technical Skills**:

- Proficiency in using billing software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- **Communication Skills**:

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to explain billing and insurance-related information to patients in a clear and concise manner.
- **Team Collaboration**:

- Collaborate effectively with medical coders, finance personnel, and other stakeholders.
- Work seamlessly in a multidisciplinary team environment.

This Outpatient Billing Executive role is instrumental in ensuring the accurate and efficient processing of outpatient billing transactions, contributing to the financial health of the healthcare facility while maintaining a positive patient experience in the outpatient setting.
