**Role**: Assistant Early Years (Part-Time)

**Responsibilities**: The Polymath School is looking for an energetic and motivated substitute teacher to work with students at all levels, from pre-kindergarten to secondary school.
Your primary responsibility will be that of supporting teachers in executing lessons (for any grade within Grade N-KG1 to Grade 9) and substituting classes when teachers are absent for a shorter or longer period.
Your secondary responsibility would be to help children across grades to progress on their Individualized Learning Plans (ILPs).

**Responsibilities include**:
Supporting main class teacher to conduct differentiated classes

Follow regular teacher’s lesson plans in a way that ensures consistency and optimal learning, and that encourages students to participate

Developing strong one-to-one relations with students

Maintain a well-managed classroom and positive learning environment

Preparation of materials and setting up of play areas

Helping students take charge of their own learning

Maintaining observational records of every student progress for report card

Modifying teaching styles to fit the learning styles of various students

Substituting classes as per requirements

Assign classwork and homework as necessary, according to lesson plans

Attend parent-teacher meetings

**Additional responsibilities include**:
Supervising students out of class, such as in the hallways

Developing strong one-to-one relations with students and parents

Documenting all work & support in creation of charts

Participating in parent outreach / marketing initiatives

Admissions counselling

Prerequisites

Flexible, friendly and good at establishing quick rapport with students

Excellent oral & written English

Love for learning and research

Ability to work in teams

Humility

Prior Experience in teaching is preferred

Timings & CTC Salary

Timings 8 am to 1 pm - Rs. 8,000-10,000 (for Junior Kindergarten)
Timings 8 am to 2 pm - Rs. 10,000-12,000 (for Grade 1)
