**About this Position**
- As a Data Visualization Associate at FiscalNote, you will play a crucial role in transforming complex data sets into visually compelling and insightful visualizations using tools such as Looker and Tableau. Your technical expertise in data visualization, combined with your ability to interface with client-facing teams and prioritize work during peak periods, will ensure timely delivery of high-quality solutions.

**About You**
- Collaborate closely with client-facing teams to understand customer needs, requirements, and objectives
- Develop visually impactful dashboards, reports, and interactive data visualizations using Looker and Tableau, tailored to meet specific client requests
- Transform complex data sets into intuitive and interactive visualizations, enabling users to derive meaningful insights and make informed decisions
- Conduct data analysis and interpretation to identify key trends, patterns, and insights within the data
- Interface with client-facing teams to address customer feedback, iterate on visualizations, and ensure client satisfaction
- Prioritize and manage workload effectively during peak periods, demonstrating adaptability and responsiveness to customer demands
- Maintain and optimize existing data visualizations, ensuring accuracy, performance, and usability, based on client feedback and requirements
- Stay up to date with industry trends, best practices, and emerging tools in data visualization and analytics

**What Sets You Apart**:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field
- 1-2 years of professional experience in data visualization, preferably using Looker and Tableau
- Proficient in using Looker and Tableau to create interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations
- Strong knowledge of data visualization best practices and principles, with a focus on user experience and design
- Solid understanding of data analysis and data manipulation techniques
- Experience working with large and complex datasets, and the ability to translate data into actionable insights
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with keen attention to detail
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to interface effectively with client-facing teams
- Ability to prioritize work effectively during peak periods and manage competing demands
- Self-motivated and able to work independently, while also being a team player
- Familiarity with other data visualization tools and libraries, such as Power BI, D3.js, or Python libraries (Matplotlib, Seaborn)
- Experience with SQL or other query languages for data extraction and manipulation
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and data warehousing principles
