**JD - Oracle DBA - L2 & L3 support**

**Loc : Bangalore (WFO) - Mon to Fri (5 days)**

**NP : Only Immediate Joiners**
- The DBA will work in a team environment supporting non-production and production databases on Solaris and Windows platforms:

- Troubleshooting, recovery, and refining the database and handle on call.
- Installing software.
- Resolving errors and failures.
- Auditing activities.
- Resource utilization.
- Follow standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data to resolve reported issues with databases and/or clients.
- Update problem documentation via the STARS ticket system.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues by following documented processes.
- Update process and support documentation as needed.
- Responsible for documenting and escalating tickets, as needed.
- Provide Level II assistance to Application Support Teams and programmers.

**Equipment and Tools Used**:
Computers, workstations, servers, software programming tools, standard peripherals, technical documents, telephone/facsimile, client/server systems, data communication systems, presentation tools and other equipment necessary to perform assigned duties.

Minimum Qualifications:
DBA experience with Oracle versions 8i, 9i, 10g, and 11g; Possess strong skills in analyzing, conceptualizing and problem solving.

**Special Skills and Knowledge**:

- Installation, upgrading, patching, and maintenance of Oracle and Microsoft SQL Server RDBMS.
- **Oracle database backup and recovery using RMAN**.
- Copying databases/renaming files and creating control files.
- **SQL/PL SQL and UNIX shell scripting experience.**:

- Focus on providing a high availability database.
- Tuning SQL and PL/SQL
- Physical and logical tuning of Oracle Database.
- Must have supported a development environment.
- Flexible with work hours.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
